Africans and other Black peoples forcibly brought to the US carried with them cultures, practices and even seeds woven into their hair. The book, Black Earth Wisdom, by Leah Penniman, helped me to see another entire population that can inspire more grounded environmental values and practices.

Cheery title, huh? And guess what? It’s hardly about climate change. Zeihan’s premise is that demographics and the unraveling of the Bretton Woods "Order" created after WWII will upend globalization and all that we're used to. You might not agree with all his premises but it's better to at least consider them.
