Kaiser’s Santa Rosa facility net zero

Kaiser Permanente’s family medicine clinic in Santa Rosa is reportedly the first medical facility in the US to achieve net zero energy, producing as much as it needs. This is especially notable because the facility is all electric.

Kaiser’s office at 2240 Mercury Way earned the distinction as it’s fully powered by electric means, without burning fossil fuels. It uses solar panels, special pumps to regulate room and water temperature, and insulation and windows that adjust to the sun.

One of the nicer features for the employees is that each office has its own temperature control.
